Table Talk at The University Church

Drinking coffee, eating cookies and talking about theology - what could possibly be more fun?!!! Our theology discussion group, which we run in partnership with Toledo Campus Ministry, is named "Table Talk" in recognition of the theological conversations held by Martin Luther and his associates in the days of the Reformation. We meet on Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm in The Ark at The Interfaith Center adjacent to the campus of The University of Toledo (see below for a map).

The September 18, 2006 cover of Time magazine in the US asks the question, "Does God want you to be rich?" That's a theological question! At Table Talk we discuss all sorts of theological questions, ranging from the most basic (for example, "How is God known in the world?") to the most applied (for example, "How has consumerism in the US affected Christian ethical teaching?").

We encourage all points of view and welcome those from varying faith traditions to share their insights with us. Everyone is welcome, everyone is heard, and all opinions are respected. If it all sounds a bit complicated and difficult that's just because you haven't yet come and joined in. It is a lot of fun and everyone learns something new.
